I went to a conference on Friday (GOLD/GALILEO). You know I really appreciate GALILEO. While there I learned that YOU, the patron, can order books from other libraries if I, the librarian, activate some secret switch 

WELL- I have activated the secret switch.

You may now search and request materials from other libraries and the items will be delivered to NMTC (if the library is willing to loan it- sometimes they aren’t- material might be too new or out or lost or so very rare that they don’t let it out of their sight but if they are willing and can loan it they will send it to us….)

1. Go to GALILEO http://www.galileo.usg.edu

2. Select Databases A-Z

3. Jump to W

4. Select World Cat http://www.galileo.usg.edu/express?link=zowc&rkey=alphalist (#237, yes we have access to that many online resources at NMTC and I’m gathering more)

5. Search….

6. When you find a title you think will be helpful, click on the item – a screen opens with information about the book –

7. There is a link offering you the option to “Borrow this item from another library”

8. Click

9. Fill in the screen

10. Submit and within two weeks (or less) the item will be here!

I am so pleased to be able to offer this to you and to our students.

It’s good that I go to conferences, I learn so much!
