If you get students who seem a bit unsure of what program they really should be in…..suggest they take the Skills Assessment at the Georgia Career Information Center (directions below – if you’d like ¼ page handouts I can put them in your box). It’s “free”. It’s a self assessment and it gives immediate feedback.
I took it and it said I should be a librarian - that was affirming. Other faculty have taken it and been affirmed with their career choices too! Go ahead – take the assessment ….. have your family take it- who knows what you’ll discover.
I hand this out in SCT 100 and some students start taking the Skills Assessment right away - they do want to know if they’ve made the correct choice.
